SKINDERMA Azelaic Peel 25% Professional Chemical Peel

SKINDERMA Azelaic Peel is a 25% Azelaic Acid chemical peel with a pH of 2.5, derived from wheat, barley and rye. Azelaic Acid has bacteriostatic qualities and inhibits tyrosinase, reducing the formation of melanin. It was developed for the treatment of acne and skin hyperpigmentation, is a good sebum regulator, and provides visible results in the treatment of rosacea, psoriasis and other inflamed skin problems. In melasma treatment it is used as an alternative to hydroquinone. It is suitable for dark skin phototypes.

Indications

  • Skin with excess sebum and acne
  • Rosacea
  • Melasma and pregnancy spots
  • Superficial pigmentation, for example barcode pigmentation
  • Psoriasis and eczema

Function: Keratolytic, hyperpigmentation, acne, anti-inflammatory.
Treatment Area: Face and neck.
Active Ingredient: Azelaic Acid 25%.
pH: 2.5.
Exposure time: 1 to 5 minutes, up to 3 controlled layers.
Frequency: Every 21 days, with the skin fully regenerated.

Professional Peeling Protocol

Before the peel

  1. Cleansing Milk
  2. Cleansing Foam
  3. Tonic solution or Tonic Exfoliator with a cotton pad
  4. Salicylic Exfoliator with gauze

Make a skin diagnosis and a customized consultation: evaluate allergies and past reactions, and take before photos.

During the peel

  • Protect sensitive areas (eyes, lips, nose) with Vaseline or glycerin.
  • Apply the first layer with a brush and wait for the exposure time (about 2 minutes per layer), watching the skin's reaction. Apply the second layer. If the skin does not react and the client does not feel much discomfort, apply the final layer.
  • Stop the peel with SKINDERMA Neutralizing Spray all over the area and cold water. Massage quickly and repeat 2 to 3 times.

After the peel

  • Apply an ampoule or serum for the treatment: Hyaluronic Acid & DMAE for rejuvenation, Multivitamins Combo for acne scars, Glutathione ampoules for photo-aging and hyperpigmentation.
  • Massage it in or mix it with a mask for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Finish with a cream and SPF.

Precautions and Contraindications

Stop laser or other intensive treatments at least 21 days before the session. Do not use during pregnancy, with intense sun exposure (recent or upcoming), on very sensitive skin, active local infections or active herpes lesions, during treatment with oral retinoids, or with inflammatory, allergic or eruptive skin reactions.
